Business and leisure travel

If the insured becomes acutely and unexpectedly ill or is exposed to an accident while travelling, the insurance covers treatment expenses, doctor's visits and hospital stays without an amount limit during the trip. The insurance also covers pre-approved transport home from abroad, with no sum limit or deductible.

The insurance covers additional expenses for travel and accommodation to the nearest safe destination or to your place of residence in Norway in accordance with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' evacuation advice. There is no upper sum limit.

If, for example, the insured has to cancel a trip due to acute and unexpected illness, accident or death, the insurance covers what the insured cannot claim to recover from the travel organizer or carrier. There is no upper sum limit or deductible.

If personal items are stolen or damaged while traveling, up to NOK 40 000 per item is covered. Jewelery and watches are covered up to NOK 30 000. There is no upper sum limit per event.

Employer's effects
In addition to personal assets, the insurance also covers assets belonging to the employer with up to NOK 15 000.

If the luggage is delayed luggage on departure, we cover reasonable and necessary expenses for the purchase or hire of clothing, toiletries or other travel items for up to NOK 5 000 with Standard, and up to NOK 10 000 with Super. A maximum of NOK 25 000 is covered per family.

With Super also applies: 

In the event of delayed special luggage to the destination, the insured can also buy or rent equivalent equipment for up to NOK 5 000. If a delayed piece of luggage is still missing five days after arrival at the destination, we will refund a further up to NOK 5 000 per person, maximum NOK 25 000 per family.

If the insured is late for the departure of the means of transport the insured is to travel with, we cover reasonable and necessary expenses for obtaining the itinerary and any accommodation. There is no upper sum limit.

If the means of transport the insured is to travel with does not run at the agreed time, we cover expenses for alternative transport with up to NOK 3 000 per person.

If ID thieves use the identity's name to create loans and customer relationships we cover up to NOK 1 000 000 in necessary legal assistance to remove unjustified payment notices.

In case of further help, the insured is put in contact with a doctor.

If the insured suffers an acute psychological crisis as a result of robbery, assault or a serious accident on the journey, the insurance covers expenses for psychological first aid, without a deductible.

We replace up to 10 treatments by a psychologist or psychiatrist for up to two years after the incident occurred.

The insurance covers the liability the insured as a private person may incur on travels outside their home municipality.

Standard covers up to NOK 10 million.
Super covers up to NOK 15 million.

Legal aid insurance covers expenses for legal assistance of up to NOK 100 000, if the insured as a private person becomes a party to a dispute that arises on a travel outside their own municipality.

The insurance covers accidental damage worldwide with up to NOK 40 000 per item. Jewelery and watches are covered with up to NOK 30 000.

The deductible is NOK 2 000 for damage to one object, and NOK 4 000 for damage to two or more objects.

The insurance replaces the deductible the insured must pay according to the rental contract, if the insured damages the rental car or loses the key.

Deductible in the event of damage to private car on a business trip
In the event of damage to the insured private car used on a business trip, the insurance covers the deductible the insured is charged in the settlement from their insurance company.

If the insured arrives at least 1.5 hours late to the agreed pick-up time for a prepaid rental car or motorcycle, we will replace the canceled rental agreement with up to NOK 10 000.

If the insured is more than 8 hours late and cannot use a pre-paid accommodation or event, we compensate with up to NOK 5 000 per person.

When a pre-paid public event is canceled or moved to a time outside the fixed travel period, the insurance covers pre-paid travel costs that the insured cannot claim to recover when canceling the trip. An example of a canceled public event could be a football match, concert or conference.

We cover up to NOK 5 000 per person.

We help the insured to fight pests and harmful insects, such as bed bugs, cockroaches and cockroaches, which the insured has brought home after a trip abroad. The costs are covered with up to NOK 100 000, and the insured only pays a deductible of NOK 2 000.

Accident insurance pays a lump sum in the event of permanent medical disability or death as a result of an accident. The accident insurance also covers reasonable and necessary treatment expenses at the dentist, doctor, physiotherapist and chiropractor, and travel expenses.
